Note: The procedures for treating natural gas and propane vapor are the same. Only the EF to propane/natural gas ratios differ.
1. Install the system as per attachment sheet A.2. Estimate the minimum and maximum volume of gas to be treated, then select the midrange average. (example: Min = 100 CFH / Max = 300 CFH; midrange average would be 200 CFH).
3. Open EF premix cylinders and adjust regulator (A) to the pressure required for the flow meter being used. Adjust regulator (B) approximately 2 pounds less than regulator (A). This will act as an automatic change over. Tank (A1) will go empty first. Tank (B1) will start to flow as soon as Tank (A1) pressure drops below the 2 pound differential setting.
4. Start the flow of natural gas or propane vapor to the established midrange flow (See #2).
5. Adjust regulator (C) to start the flow of premix EF to the proper flow meter setting (see chart). Example: If midrange flow of untreated natural gas is 200 CFH and premix blend is 20 ounces per 100# cylinder, you would adjust the flow meter to 10 CFH.
NOTE: Blending ratios of EF and Propane will vary depending on the volume required by the customer. Mixing proportions are provided to customers when usage quantity is established along with blender calculations.

The above table shows the amount of EF/Propane in cubic feet per hour that may be withdrawn from a 100 pound premixed cylinder under various conditions of ambient temperature and cylinder content to satisfy the demand of the blending system.
Note: A withdrawal rate in excess of the above limits will result in pressure loss of the EF supply cylinder and will not treat the base fuel.
